Bachelor degree in Economics with specialization in Econometric Models from the Superior School of Economics at Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), Master’s degree in Economics with specialization in Economic Development at the Universidad de las Américas-Puebla, Doctorate studies in Economics at IPN as well as in Regional Development at Colegio de Tlaxcala  A.C; he also has certifications in Public Policies Evaluation by CIDE and  Planning and Legislative Operation by ITAM. In the academic field he is currently Professor and Researcher at the Superior School of Economics in the IPN and at the Colegio de Tlaxcala, A. C.; he has been Professor at the Universidad Iberoamericana-Puebla and at the Superior School of Mechanic and Electrical Engineering at IPN. In the field of Public Administration, he has served as General Director of the Council for the Evaluation of Social Development of Mexico City (Evalúa CDMX), Executive Coordinator of the Stimulation Program for the Universal High School (PREBU, Prepa Sí), Planning Director of the System for the Interaction of the Family (DIF-CDMX), Evaluation Director of the Guaranteed Education Trust (IDEGAR), among others. His research areas are: Social Policy, Monitoring and Evaluation of Social Development, Economic Growth, Impact of Public Policies, Applied Econometrics (Financial Econometrics and Microeconomics), Inequality and Poverty and Financial Mathematics. He has written several books such as: Measurement and Analysis of Poverty in Mexico City (co-authored with Miguel Reyes and Humberto Ríos), The Social Question and the Evaluation of Social Policy in Mexico City 2018 (co-authored with Oscar Martínez and José Ramón Amieva), Economic Inequality, Poverty and Social Mobility (in coordination with Ignacio Perrotini Hernández), Analysis of Economic Growth in 2007 (co-authored with Mario M. Carrillo and Miguel Reyes Hernández), The Development Policy in Favor of the Education: The case of the Prepa Sí Program of Mexico City in 2009 (co-authored with Mario M. Carrillo and Marcelo Ebrard), Global Assessment of Social Policy of Mexico City (2016), Economic Inequality, Poverty and Social Mobility (coordinated with Ignacio Perrotini Hernández), among other research books; he has also published several research articles in National and International Journals. He is currently General Director of CFE Capital and Member of the National System of Researchers of CONACYT level 1.


General Counsel

Alain has been a member of the board of Arka Casa de Bolsa, S.A. de C.V., a private stock and securities brokerage firm. His professional experience includes several positions in Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE), in Mexico’s government agency INFONAVIT (Institute of the National Fund  for Worker’s Housing), in Mexico’s Institute for the Protection of Bank Savings or IPAB (a federal government entity with certain attributions similar to those of the FDIC), in the country’s Federal Tax Prosecution Agency, at one point in a governmental trust in charge of the liquidation of auxiliary lending entities, and in Mexico’s National Bank of Domestic Lending (a government entity close to disappear). He has been a professor of Banking Law at the Technological University of Mexico. Alain has a Rights and Law degree by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).



He has a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from the Universidad Iberoamericana and has completed a master’s degree in Stock Exchange and Financial Markets and a master’s in Portfolio Management in Spain at the Estudios Bursatiles de Madrid (IEB). He has studies at the London School of Economics in International Financial Markets. He has extensive experience of more than 9 years as a specialist in the financial sector, working with national and international firms such as MÁS Fondos, Casa de Bolsa Ixe, Alpha Wealth Management Effect, CITE México and in Spain at Eccleston Partners. He has been a professor of subjects related to the area of finance in the stock market at the Universidad Iberoamericana campus Puebla.

He has solid knowledge in the banking and finance sector in areas such as Wealth Management, Private Banking, Corporate Finance, Fixed Income, Equity, Derivatives, Financial Planning, among others.


Investor Relations Director

Carmen graduated with honors from the Master in International Finance at the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles (IEB) of Madrid, Spain, where she also studied the specialty in Private Banking and Financial Advice. She holds a degree in Economics and Finance from Universidad Iberoamericana campus Puebla and has programs of excellence in international finance by The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and The London School of Economics and Political Science, in addition to having approved Level 1 of the CFA certification. She has worked in the private sector as CEO of J&Z International Mineral Trading Corp, Investment Portfolio Manager (HNWI) and Coordinator of economic studies analyst of the National Chamber of the Transformation Industry (CANACINTRA).
