José Arturo has a Doctorate in Economics from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), one of the most prestigious institutions in Mexico. He holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from the Universidad de las Américas in Puebla, Mexico, and a Bachelor in Economics from the IPN. He has extensive experience in the public, private, and academic sectors. In addition, he has been full professor in different institutions of higher education and research.


General Counsel

Alain has been a member of the board of Arka Casa de Bolsa, S.A. de C.V., a private stock and securities brokerage firm. His professional experience includes several positions in Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE), in Mexico’s agency INFONAVIT (Institute of the National Fund  for Workers’ Housing), in Mexico’s Institute for the Protection of Bank Savings or IPAB (a federal government entity with certain attributions similar to those of the FDIC), in the country’s Federal Tax Prosecution Agency, at one point in a governmental trust in charge of the liquidation of auxiliary lending entities, and in Mexico’s National Bank of Domestic Lending. He has been a professor of Banking Law at the Technological University of Mexico. Alain has a Law degree by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).



Conrado has 23 years of experience in banking and financial markets. Since 2016 and until he joined CFECapital, he acted as product manager in Banco Azteca, a privately owned Mexican bank, and from 2008 to 2016 he served in the BBVA Bancomer Group as Director of Administration of Balance Sheet Structural Risk. In BBVA Bancomer he also occupied positions as Deputy Director of Finance Management, Deputy Director of the Lending Desk and Deputy Director of International Treasury. He has a solid experience in market risk administration, sensibility to balance sheet financial margin, and in the administration of portfolios, derivatives, market price determination (cost transferals), financial planning, treasury, and management of cash and equivalents. He has been invited as a speaker in conferences organized in Miami by the Global Financial Market Institute (GFMI). Conrado obtained an MBA in Banking and International Finance by England’s Birmingham University, and has a degree in Business Administration by the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM).


Investor Relations Director

Pedro has a vast experience in project analysis related to the public sector and, recently, with Mexico’s energy sector. His experience includes being Manager of the Energy Savings Program in Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) until he joined CFECapital, Senior Advisor and Chief of Speeches in Mexico’s Interior Ministry (SEGOB), advisor and consultant in the Mexico Institute of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C., project coordinator in the Foundation for the Implementation, Design, Evaluation and Analysis of Public Policy (the IDEA Foundation), and in the Quántica Consulting firm. Pedro obtained a Master’s degree in Public Policy by the Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and a bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Economics by the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM).
